Policy Advisor

As Senior Policy Director, Nikhil leverages his diverse experience in health services research, federal healthcare consulting, and the health insurance industry to support Healthsperien’s clients. He has extensive policy experience in Medicaid managed care, long-term services and supports, dual-eligible special needs plans, social determinants of health, and value-based care arrangements. He also demonstrates expertise in Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) model development, implementation, and evaluation.

Prior to joining Healthsperien, Nikhil served as Senior Public Policy Analyst at CareFirst, where he worked with executive leadership to influence decision making and advocacy priorities. He led development of CareFirst’s first Medicaid policy platform in DC and Maryland, supported a series of policy analyses to evaluate Maryland performance in the Total Cost of Care model, and advanced CareFirst’s value-based care advocacy efforts.

Nikhil has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from George Washington University.
