Brooklyn, NY
Nina Joung is a communications expert by profession and a community builder at heart – and vice versa! An Emmy Award-winning digital producer, she’s managed digital communities and created content about income inequality, racial injustice, and reproductive health just to name a few. Throughout her career, she’s had the privilege to work alongside PBS, FRONTLINE, PBS Digital Studios, Sunrise Movement, Next Avenue, and the Earth Institute at Columbia University.
An active believer and participant in grassroots organizing, Nina has volunteered with NYC-based organizations Data Pride NYC, Interference Archive, Brooklyn Eviction Defense, and Asians for Sex Positivity. She has led panel discussions, helped guide community members to local resources, and organized several networking and community building activities that center marginalized communities.
On most days, you can find Nina updating her google calendar (aka her second brain), trying to make eye contact with every dog she passes on the sidewalk, or reading the latest F4SC newsletter!
