OUR Awareness APPROACH
Through education, events, and communications we work to bring awareness to the harms of social isolation and loneliness, and the protective factor of social connection.
As a leader in addressing social isolation, loneliness, and connection, the Foundation for Social Connection routinely offers its expertise to increase public awareness and education on the issue. Check out the conversations our impressive team has sparked below!

F4SC is proud to partner with Eventbrite on the Social Connection Project whose mission is to foster social connection through awareness, advocacy, and research activities. The campaign focuses on the belief that young adults deserve meaningful social connection. Our efforts include research on building socially connected communities through live events.
Through our partnership with Healthy Places by Design, the Foundation is bridging our community and national efforts to catalyze movements across the country. Together, we equip local leaders with the resources to build more socially connected communities and challenge systems to prioritize health and well-being for all.
F4SC joined forces with Humana to launch the Far From Alone public health campaign to increase awareness and provide resources to people in need. The initial population of interest focused on older adults and those with disabilities. In 2023, we are adding a focus on moms, caregivers, and veterans.
Each year, we convene the best and brightest thought leaders and change-makers from across the globe for the End Social Isolation and Loneliness Action Forum. Together, we raise the visibility of our nation’s crisis of connection, spotlight ground-breaking innovations, spur commitments to action, and promote real evidence- and system-based change for a more socially connected future.
Each June, alongside our partners at the GILC and Marmalade Trust, the Foundation for Social Connection and Humana’s Far From Alone activate local communities, policymakers, and innovators to share resources, identify areas of collaboration, and educate the public on the importance of belonging and resiliency. We mobilize relationships across the globe to elevate awareness of the crisis worldwide.
