What drives you to work on addressing social isolation & loneliness / fostering social connection ?
I feel so inspired by the work of the Foundation and our incredible network of partners. Our impact is truly collective in nature. During the pandemic I experienced both social isolation and loneliness, and it forced me to reflect on what supports I needed for myself and my community to feel a sense of belonging. I was privileged to have been brought up in a family and school environment that prioritized community connection and engagement, but I understand that many are not as fortunate, and that our systems and policies have led us to a reality of inequities in social connection supports. I am committed to furthering the translation of evidence and insights into real impactful application and promoting the strengthening of communities through connection across America.
