As Associate Program Director, Abigail manages and develops research and innovation initiatives for the Foundation for Social Connection (F4SC) and Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness (CESIL).

Abigail joins the team with diverse program management, program development, health policy, and qualitative research experience in the health and social care spaces. Most recently, she served as a program manager at AIRnyc, a community health worker community-based organization. Abigail previously conducted social determinants of health-focused research at the National Association of Community Health Centers, provided project management support for federal and state health IT infrastructure projects at EMI Advisors, and conducted policy development and coalition work at Horizon Government Affairs.

Abigail holds a B.A. in religion from Barnard College and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from the George Washington University School of Public Health, where she received recognition for her Master’s thesis on social isolation and loneliness among young adults.

What drives you to work on addressing social isolation & loneliness / fostering social connection ?

I’m driven by working toward a future where we not only support each other when we experience social isolation or loneliness but embed social connection in society so that fewer of us experience isolation and instead, we experience more belonging and connection.
