Angi Beland

Operations Manager

Angi Beland believes that the best organizations are intentionally designed to help people thrive. With more than 25 years of experience in organizational strategy, design, and implementation, she helps mission-driven organizations transform bold ideas into sustainable action that creates lasting impact.

Throughout her career, Angi has partnered with organizations across education and the nonprofit sector to develop the operational infrastructure, sustainable funding strategies, and implementation plans that move vision into reality. While her expertise includes organizational design, grant strategy, and earned revenue development, her work has always centered on something much larger in creating systems that expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and empower people to succeed.

Angi believes that organizations have the power to shape human experience. When systems are intentionally designed with people at the center, they don’t just operate more effectively; they foster belonging, strengthen relationships, and create environments where individuals, families, and communities can flourish. That belief continues to guide her work, helping organizations build the foundation for meaningful, lasting impact.

What drives you to work on addressing social isolation & loneliness and fostering social connection?

I could talk for hours about the importance of belonging and the impact of social isolation. My passion for this work is deeply personal.

When my son was younger, navigating life with a neurodivergent child often felt incredibly isolating. I found myself trying to understand systems and social norms that weren’t designed with every family in mind. That experience fundamentally changed the trajectory of my career, leading me from the business world into education and community nonprofit work.

It breaks my heart to think that anyone could move through life believing they don’t belong or that their differences make them less worthy of connection. Every day, I’m driven by the belief that everyone deserves to have at least one person who believes in their potential, celebrates their strengths, and reminds them that they matter.

If my work can help build organizations, communities, and systems where more people feel seen, connected, and valued, then I know I’m contributing to something that truly matters.
