Deborah Shoola

Social Connection Fellow

Deborah Shoola (she/hers) is a new Social Connection Fellow for the Foundation for Social Connection and the Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness. Originally from Texas, Deborah holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Global Health from Northwestern University. Previously, Deborah has worked on a research team to investigate the root causes and structural determinants of mental health challenges on college campuses. Additionally, Deborah has a background in human-centered design, health communications, and user experience. With a passion for mental health advocacy, Deborah is excited to expand her knowledge of social, mental, and health well-being.
