Krys Standley

Project Director, Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities

Krys Standley is a Research Project Director with the Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities at the University of Montana’s Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities. She holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and an M.S. in Community Health and Prevention Sciences and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Krys’s research interests center on the intersections of health promotion, disability, and positive psychological factors. Her work focuses on intervention research, integrating community-based participatory methods and both quantitative and qualitative approaches. With generational ties to Montana, she brings a personal connection to rural living—while recognizing that every community member adds to the richness of rural life.
