Rebecca Mullen

Dr. Rebecca Mullen is a physician-researcher and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado. She practices family medicine in the outpatient setting. Dr. Mullen is passionate about addressing loneliness and social isolation among older adults to improve health outcomes, enhancing the role of primary care in the fight against the loneliness and social isolation epidemic, and improving dementia care in primary care. She is currently funded by a K23 Career Development Award to adapt and test a loneliness intervention for older adults with cognitive impairment in addition to an Alzheimer’s Association Career Development Award to study loneliness and cognition across the cognitive spectrum. She is a current scholar in The Center for Aging and Serious Illness (CASI)’s Dementia Palliative Care Clinical Trials Program (DEM-PCCT) and a member of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia Action Coalition (ADRDAC).
