Chief Program Officer, DOROT USA
As Chief Program Officer, Ali directs the strategic vision and execution of DOROT programming, which includes concrete and supportive services, social connections programming, volunteer visiting, external partnerships, and program impact and evaluation. She leads a team responsible for a dynamic array of in-person and remote programming for older adults with varying interests and abilities, volunteer engagement, and the social work framework that is a hallmark of the agency’s work. Before joining DOROT in 2017, she served for 12 years as the Executive Director of the Aging in New York Fund, the philanthropic arm of the New York City Department for the Aging, helping the City incubate new programs to meet the evolving needs of older adults. Ali holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
