Executive Director, The Village Place
BJ Woods is the Executive Director of The Village Place in Little Rock, AR, a nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces for BIPOC youth. She leads efforts to ensure young people in the South End neighborhood have the resources and confidence to thrive, while partnering with them to shift narratives through media, storytelling, and art. BJ holds a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law and a Master of Public Service from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, combining legal expertise with a deep commitment to community change. With nearly a decade of nonprofit experience, she brings a unique perspective on the interconnectedness of youth wellbeing and community health, designing programs that center both. Through her leadership, BJ continues to build a legacy of empowerment, inclusivity, and hope, grounded in the belief that the whole community is greater than the sum of its parts.
