Dr. Abeni El-Amin is a nationally recognized scholar-practitioner, nonprofit leader, and social innovator dedicated to advancing health equity, community empowerment, and systemic change. She serves as President of Project Ricochet, Inc., and leads intersectional initiatives such as the African American Barbershop and Beauty Salon Public Health Initiative, EMPOWER Tobacco Prevention, and PR Health: Farm Rx. With over 70 scholarly works, multiple doctorates, and extensive certifications in health and wellness, Dr. El-Amin bridges academic rigor with grassroots mobilization. Her work has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Dr. Rice C. Leach Public Health Hero Award and the Sarah Bennett Holmes Staff Award, University of Kentucky. She also hosts *The Ricochet Effect Podcast*, amplifying diverse voices and fostering cultural resilience in historically marginalized communities.
