Public Policy Strategist, Bureau of Aging and Disability Resources within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Division of Public Health
Helen Sampson, LCSW has been working with the Bureau of Aging and Disability Resources within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Division of Public Health since February 2024 initially supporting Social Connection and Livable Communities grants throughout the state and now as a Public Policy Strategist working on variety of projects including reframing aging and disability and age-friendly initiatives. After completing her Master of Science in Social Work degree at UW-Madison, Helen continued her career development in Massachusetts and California. She provided direct service and leadership in hospice and community-based organizations focused on serving older adults and persons with disabilities. She comes to her current position following 14 years of leadership in Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) work after returning to her home state of WI. She is passionate about continual learning in service of creating positive, meaningful impact for systems and people.
