This position will work closely with Foundation for Social Connection and Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness leadership, in various capacities. The Communications and Programming Coordinator strengthens the Foundation and Coalition’s position as leading research, innovation, and awareness-raising organizations by providing logistics support for face-to-face convenings (from small meetings to large conferences) and web-based convenings (including interactive videoconferences and webinars). This position also provides overarching support to specific programs and initiatives including managing communications, websites, and social channels, and helps to ensure deep organizational impact related to capacity and relationship building. The Coordinator will report to the Executive Director, Jillian Racoosin.
Hours:
This is a full-time position. Applicants can work remotely and/or in our DC office and must be available to attend in-person events.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee CESIL and F4SC communications channels [websites, socials, newsletters]
Liaison with PR support to build external media relationships to boost name recognition and brand awareness
Support material development to prepare for meetings, speaking engagements, and written products
Ensure that all aspects of a program are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement
Report program risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues according to work plan
Book venues, schedule guests, draft and finalize contracts, and lock down day-of logistics
Develop content for event materials and work with graphic designer to produce
Serve as point of communication between organization teams and external resources
Deepen partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors and researchers
Required Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in project coordination
Experience in coordinating teams and clients
Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or relevant field is preferred
Established relationships with vendors
Experience in managing budgets and tracking expenses
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
Interest in working on health policy and strategy projects, especially those focused on vulnerable populations
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple ongoing projects
