Social Connection Fellow

Position Description:

Fellows will work closely with Foundation and Coalition Leadership and Staff to support the Social Isolation and Loneliness body of work in various capacities. Fellows must enjoy working in a small but growing office that is results-focused. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, have strong written and verbal communication, excellent administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Working knowledge of social, mental, and health well-being. 

Hours:

Flexible (during normal operating hours) depending on the applicant’s student enrollment status, with a commitment of 25-30 hours per week; applicants can work remotely and/or in our DC office. We are looking to onboard a Fellow before the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024 

Responsibilities:

Fellows will work closely with Foundation and Coalition Leadership and Staff to support the Social Isolation and Loneliness body of work in various capacities. Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to the following:

Fellows would be expected to contribute substantially to our communications strategy across our Social Isolation and Loneliness body of work.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have or be currently enrolled in a master’s degree program.

Compensation:

Fellows should expect competitive compensation commensurate with experience and level of coursework. Actively enrolled students can expect school credit, if relevant, in addition or in lieu of financial compensation.

Further, the small size of our office provides many opportunities to work directly with high-level staff, develop relationships, and network in D.C. with important stakeholders. Our office is committed to helping our fellows develop their interests and further their careers.
