Social Connection Fellow – Research & Innovation 

Position Description: 

The fellow will work closely with Foundation and Coalition Leadership and Staff to support our body of work in various capacities. Fellows must enjoy working in a small but growing office that is results focused. The ideal candidate will be able to exercise good judgment in various situations, have strong written and verbal communication, excellent administrative and organizational skills, and maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The fellow will report to the Research & Innovation Program Manager, Abigail Barth. 

Hours: 

Flexible depending on the applicant’s student enrollment status, with a commitment of 20 hours per week; applicants can work remotely and/or in our DC office. Anticipated start date in April 2024. 

Responsibilities: 

The fellow will work closely with Foundation Leadership and Staff to support the social connection body of work in various capacities. Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to the following: 

Fellows are expected to contribute substantially and function with a fair degree of independence across our social connection body of work. 

Required Qualifications: 

Applicants must have or be currently enrolled in a master’s degree program and express interest in social connectedness. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Compensation: 

Fellows should expect competitive compensation commensurate with experience and level of coursework. Actively enrolled students can expect school credit, if relevant, in addition or in lieu of financial compensation. 

Further, the small size of our office provides many opportunities to work directly with high-level staff, develop relationships, and network in D.C. with important stakeholders in health policy, technology, providers, and payors. Our office is committed to helping our fellows develop their interests and further their careers.
